Pit-Road 1/350 JB Series Japan Maritime Self-Defense Force Submarine SS-516 Raigei Plastic Model JB37
The Taigei-class submarine is the successor to the Soryu-class, with the first submarine, the Taigei, commissioned in March 2022.
While externally similar to the Soryu-class, it is equipped with higher-capacity, high-output lithium-ion batteries, improving its submergence capabilities.
The fourth submarine, the Raigei, is scheduled to be launched in October 2023 and commissioned in March 2025.
