Resourceful koki’o kea: koki’o kea reminds us to be resourceful and use all available resources to uplift those around us. Inspired by a native species known as Kokiokea in Hawaiian and White Hawaiian Hibiscus in English, it was used for decoration in lei making and for medicinal purposes. The buds were used for detoxification, and the stems were used to make string for various purposes.
