M81 has flat characteristics in the mid-high range compared to M80, and by using it properly with M80, it offers a wide range of uses for more sources. Like the M80, the M81 achieves the proximity effect, feedback avoidance performance, and clear midrange, but the high-frequency response characteristics are slightly suppressed and the overall characteristics are flat. While maintaining rich midrange and clarity, you can make hard vocals and guitars sound moist, or add strength to percussion and horns. The frequency response specifically designed for the M81 is particularly suited to electric guitars, percussion, tom-toms, brass instruments, and more. Durable and versatile, the M81 was created to become the next standard. The gray finish body and gray chrome head grille style is reminiscent of the Telefunken R-F-T AR-51, and its sonic direction is aimed at exactly the same. The M81 was designed with the frequency characteristics of the AR-51 in mind. The Telefunken M81 Dynamic Microphone is a truly universal dynamic microphone for any recording source.
*The inner diameter of the screw holder of the microphone holder is 5/8 inch. Thread diameter conversion adapter is not included.
