The DD Underblanket is the ultimate hammock insulation for cold nights. Simply hang it under your hammock and you'll feel warm in minutes. (Note: While it's suitable for temperatures below -5°C, we recommend using it in conjunction with other cold weather gear.) When hammock camping, your sleeping bag or down coat compresses under your body weight, causing most of your heat to escape downwards. The DD Hammock Underblanket is placed under your hammock, preventing compression. Instead, it creates a layer of air warmed by your body heat between the hammock and blanket, providing warm insulation. (Please wear it a little loosely to ensure optimal insulation.) With a total length of 2m, it provides insulation for almost the entire length of most people. (We recommend placing it slightly over your head.) Made from a waterproof, ripstop nylon blanket with 200 grams of synthetic silk, it comes with eight pre-installed elastic cords. Simply clip a DD mini carabiner onto the clip and attach it to your hammock. It also has drawcords on both ends for tightening, so it fits all DD hammocks.
