Eleven-faced Kannon Bodhisattva
Of the eleven faces, ten represent the ten stages of a bodhisattva.
The topmost head mask represents the eleventh stage of Buddhahood.
Therefore, the original vow of this Buddha represents the intention of transforming the eleven levels of ignorance of all living beings, revealing the eleven stages of Buddhahood, and enabling them to attain perfect attainment.
Furthermore, according to one theory, the three tranquil faces on the head represent the virtue of the vast sky, the three majestic faces represent the virtue of great wisdom, the three fang-appearing faces represent the virtue of great compassion, and the topmost face represents the virtue of the oneness of compassion and wisdom, and therefore it is believed that Buddha possesses the three virtues of concentration, wisdom, and compassion and can respond to the wishes of all living beings.
The sculpture represents the ten stages, with three faces representing serenity, virtue, and wisdom at the top of the head, and a laughing face at the very back, and many of them have a Tathagata face on top.
There is a Buddha statue above the head, and there are various statues with two arms, four arms, etc.
