4305P STUDIO MONITOR + FREE STAND
Active dual-band wireless monitors with DAC and streaming, Tidal, MQA.
JBL was founded by JB Lansing in 1946 in Northridge, California. (USA).Since its inception, it has been promoting itself by producing high-quality audio equipment, from headphones to classic speakers. Today, JBL products are used in professional recording studios, providing sound in most cinemas in the US and many music halls throughout Europe. The appeal of JBL is a reflection of the enthusiasm of iconic owners who love the sound of studio monitors combined with characteristic tweeters.
AT HOME AND IN THE OFFICE
The JBL 4305P studio monitor is a fully self-contained ACTIVE speaker system with high-resolution audio streaming and rich connectivity for professional users. The system consists of a main and a secondary speaker with the ability to assign left and right channels according to personal preferences. The main speaker includes front-panel controls for volume, mute, input selection and Bluetooth pairing. The rear panel houses all the other inputs for connecting your music sources. In addition to the front panel controls, the 4305P also offers manual remote control and can be conveniently controlled within the Google Home or Apple Airplay ecosystem.
JBL's patented acoustic technologies can reproduce sound with incredible precision and powerful dynamics, while the ultra-wide range of wired and wireless connectivity opens the door to a new world for all music lovers and professional content creators. The integrated streaming module offers streaming functions over wired and wireless networks via built-in Google Chromecast, Apple AirPlay 2 or Bluetooth 5.1, and the high-resolution 24-bit/192 kHz DAC is a guarantee that your favorite music will sound with the highest possible fidelity.
HIGH PERFORMANCE AND PROFESSIONAL TECHNOLOGY
The solid 19mm MDF construction is reinforced with internal braces and finished with real wood veneers. The bevelled corners are a nod to JBL's premium pedigree, but don't be fooled, there's the latest 21st century technology inside. The "P" in the model name indicates that this is a complete, active music system, and the 4305P is the company's first powerful studio monitor product. The internal Class D amplifier delivers a total of 300 W RMS(150 W RMS per speaker);i.e. 2 x 25 W for high tones and 2 x 125 W for mid-bass.
Higher frequencies are handled by a 1-inch Teonex® compression driver with advanced HDI™ ear canal geometry paired with a 5.25-inch pure pulp mid-bass driver set in a metal frame. The crossover frequency is 1.75 kHz. The bass reflex enclosure has two tuned front ports.
JBL 4305P are compact monitors that will find their place on a counter/table in the studio, and in home conditions you will get the best sound effects by installing them on separate stands. Of course, they can also be placed on a shelf, chest of drawers or original JS-65 stands, and alternatively you can simply hang them on the wall using wall brackets.
Both speakers have built-in amplifiers, and thanks to Wi-Fi and Bluetooth, there’s no need to connect them with a cable other than the power supply. However, to get support for streaming audio files higher than 24-bit/96 kHz, the speakers will need to be connected via the included CAT6 Ethernet cable. The DAC supports playback of high-resolution audio files at 24-bit/192 kHz, including MQA, and the system is Roon Ready certified. Supported Music Formats (local media): AAC / AIFF / ALAC / DSD (to PCM) / FLAC / MP3 / MP4 / OGG / WAV / WMA.
COMMUNICATION
In addition to streaming via Wi-Fi using AirPlay 2 or Google Chromecast, you can also connect to the USB-B and USB-A ports at any time or choose an analog input to connect e.g.. record player with its own preamplifier. The optical input is reserved for a CD player, TV or other digital source.
A pair of balanced analog XLR sockets are designed for professional users, and there is also an output for a separate subwoofer with a set crossover frequency of 80 Hz and the possibility of automatic detection. The speakers transmit a frequency range starting from 45 Hz, but in special cases, e.g.. When placed in a corner or against a wall, it may be advisable to attenuate excessive bass. For this purpose, a -3 dB attenuation switch is located on the rear panel.
