More Accurate than an Overhang Gauge: Rather than just using an overhang gauge to adjust the length, this Cartridge Alignment Protractor Protractor allows you to adjust the tracing angle of the record stylus at two points: the outer circumference (120.9 mm) and the inner circumference (66.03 mm). Compatible with various arms using a two-point alignment method based on Baerwald alignment.
For all audiophiles: Adjusting needle position and angle is just as important as adjusting needle pressure. With a typical offset arm, when the tracking point moves from the inner circumference to the outer circumference, noise such as sound distortion, cloudiness, and chatter will occur. What you need to minimize this tracking error is this template that allows you to check the exact trace position.
How to use: Set the template hole on the spindle, move the tonearm to point A (120.9mm), and adjust the position by loosening the cartridge mounting screw so that the cartridge is horizontally perpendicular to the template. Next, move the arm to point B (66.03mm) while turning the turntable a little and adjust it so that it is perpendicular. Return to point A again, check the angle, and repeat until both points match.
