Infant formula is not sterile and should not be given to premature infants or infants with immunocompromised infants or toddlers without the direction and supervision of their doctor. Talk to your doctor to find out which formula is right for your baby. Consult your baby's doctor to use cooled, boiled water for mixing. Boil clean dishes, bottles, and nipples in the water before use. Wash your hands thoroughly with soap and water before adding formula. Pour the desired amount of water into the bottle. Add the powder. Cap the bottle and shake well. Check the correct amounts of water and formula according to the table below. Use a canning scoop to measure out the powder.
