story
In 1880, a man named Hermann Karl Krieg was born in Freudenstadt, a town in the Black Forest region of Germany.
He became a watchmaker and began repairing and developing table clocks and pocket watches in 1898.
He soon gained acclaim as a watchmaker and became known to many people in Freudenstadt and beyond under the nickname Karl von Zeuten (Karl of Time).
Rather than resting on his laurels, he continued to pursue his dream of creating the perfect watch, gaining extensive knowledge and experience at watch workshops in England and Switzerland.
Returning to Freudenstadt, he developed and improved large clocks, traditional wall clocks from the Black Forest region, and cuckoo clocks, and in his later years also worked to train the next generation of watchmakers.
Hermann Karl Krieg, known as Karl von Zeuten, died in 1926, but his stories and works are familiar to the people of Freudenstadt.
In the 21st century, we have completed a timeless and classic watch collection that continues his wishes. A Carl von Zeyten watch in your hands is a proof of a dream come true.
