Phytoncides, a natural substance released by fir trees, repel pests and inhibit decay.
This has long been recognized through experience, along with the humidity-regulating effect unique to long-lived conifers, and has been used for preserving food products such as kamaboko boards, tea, and somen noodles.
Furthermore, the wood's nearly odorless fragrance makes it difficult to detect the woody smell that transfers to food, which is another reason why fir has been widely used for food preservation.

If you stand a washed cutting board upright, water will collect at the bottom. Even if it looks like all the water has fallen off, if you turn the board at an angle, it will start dripping again.
Therefore, to prevent moisture, which can cause mold and blackening, from accumulating inside the cutting board, we designed the cutting board so that it can be stood upright at an angle.

There is a large cut-out in one of the four corners of the cutting board (the part with the logo). There is a hole here, so just insert it into the stand and it will stand upright at an angle.
The stand's support poles are positioned diagonally across the cutting board, allowing it to stand with stable balance.

●There are two sizes available: M size (W36 x D20cm), which is spacious enough to prevent cut food from spilling and also allows you to place ingredients and cooking utensils around the cutting board, and S size (W27 x D15cm), which is more maneuverable and perfect for small dishes like cheese and condiments. Please choose the size that best suits your needs.

[Care and precautions]
■About maintenance
・Before each use, thoroughly wet the dry cutting board with water. This will help prevent food odors and bacteria from transferring to the cutting board.
- Wash with water as soon as possible after use.
After washing, wipe off any moisture with a dry cloth and place it on the stand to dry.
■Precautions for use
- If you are concerned about the smell of fir wood, dry it in the shade in a well-ventilated area for a few days.
- Do not place in direct sunlight or in hot, humid places, as this may cause warping.
-Cannot be used in a dishwasher.
