Reading is a right so important that it equals the most basic needs of the human being — thus, it must be guaranteed to individuals of all ages, races, creeds, sexual orientations, and social classes. Today, however, Brazil is living through a war against the book. The tax reform, which aims to tax its production and sale, may make the final product more expensive and limit its access. In "Books for everyone", professionals from the publishing market and lovers of letters joined together to reflect on this setback and show that a country cannot be made without publishers, bookstores, and readers.
